A Childhood on Green Hill

acrylic with paper collage, oil stick and marker on paper

36″ x 24″

2024

Growing up next to Worcester’s largest park, which used to feature bison, meant climbing trees, building treehouses, stealing golf balls, exploring caves, sledding, skating, skiing, setting and dousing fires there–generally running wild. It was a world apart within the city for every neighborhood kid. The memories? Magic.

Delightful Excess

acrylic with paper collage and mylar overlay on canvas

21.5″ x 17.5″ x 1.25″

2022

With Strut for the exhibit theme, Oscar Wilde’s quote “Nothing succeeds like excess” came to mind. Continuing my love affair with the collision of abstract acrylic painting and collage elements, this piece strives for a dreamlike (or nightmarish?) effect.

Meals on Wheels

Inspired by: Justin Walker, Daddy Bruce

collage on paper

12″ x 9″

2024

Food and sex take on different forms to address our changing needs. Walker’s photo tantalizes; this collage comforts. Young or old, body and soul continue to seek satisfaction.
